Q: What is your spam and bulk e-mail policy?
A: We have strict policies against spamming and bulk e-mail. Users who spam via e-mail, newsgroups, etc. are not allowed on our Web servers. If we receive complaints of spamming and bulk e-mail, we will remove you from our network

Q: Why am I paying so much more with my current provider? A: You are being overcharged.

Q: What kind of servers are you using?
A: Currently, all of our Web servers are Dual Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz servers running RedHat. Each server has at least 1 Gig of SDRAM.

Q: What is the sign-up process?
A: You can sign up in 2 ways. One , through secured online signup. Two, by cheque. We will send you an e-mail with your login information. From there, you will have FULL control over your account. You can make payments, order additional services, create FTP and more.

Q: Do you host international domain names?
A: Yes. We do host international domain names, however, it is up to you to contact the NIC of your country and have them point your domain name to our DNS numbers. Once this has been completed, we will take care of the rest.

Q: Can I host an adult site?
A: No, except for such sites as Dating for youths and Forums for morally sound activities.

Q: Can I pay monthly?
A: At present, we only accept a yearly payment, as our hosting charges are quite affordable. But should there arise such a compelling need for quaterly or other poayments on your account, please email billing@dtlsystems.com.

Q: How long does it take to get my domain working?
A: If you order a new domain name through us, it will take 24 hours. If you are transferring an existing domain name to DTL, it will take 24-48 hours after you make the DNS change with your registrar. However, your hosting account takes less than 5 minutes to set up.

Q: Do your servers run Linux or Windows NT?
A: Yes we run on both

Q: How do I transfer my domain name to DTL without experiencing any downtime?
A: To avoid downtime, please follow these procedures:
1) Sign up for a Web hosting account via the links on the home page. Once your account is setup (after necessary payment or transfer into our bank account), you will receive an e-mail from us with your FTP login information. Next, upload all of your files to our Web server.
2) After you're done uploading your files, contact your domain name registrar and have your domain name pointed to our DNS numbers.
3) Now, be patient. It will take about 24-72 hours for your registrar to update their DNS (the amount of actual time varies by registrar). Once it's updated, your domain name will point to your new website that is hosted on DTL Hosting's servers automatically.
4) If you use e-mail associated with the domain name, we recommend you check mail at both locations (with your previous hosting company and on our mail server). Once you confirm that all e-mail settings and your website are properly pointed to Digitnetwork Hosting, go ahead and cancel your account with your previous hosting company. Q: Can I use any CGI script for my Web hosting account?
A: We allow users to write and run any CGI scripts. However, we reserve the right to disable any scripts that use heavy resources or are deemed to have harmful server side effects (i.e., a persistant script).
